A Bit About Caney Creek
Caney Creek Music is the newest country band to hit the country music scene.
Born in Eldorado, Arkansas and raised in Jonesville, Louisiana, Michael Coleman became interested in music at a young age. Michael began playing the drums at age 10 with his family and friends and has been on stage ever since.
Traveling all over the country to perform, he finally settled down in Splendora, Texas to raise his family. Michael had to regrettably stop performing to take care of his growing family. He worked as a welder, AC/ heating technician, and hauled logs to and from saw mills.
Now that his family is grown, Michael wants to pursue his passion in music full-time after much encouragement from his wife and children who have always believed in him.
Although still currently driving trucks on pipelines, Michael found the time to record two tracks in Nashville without hindering his lifestyle to provide for his family.
Working with some of the greats in the music industry, Michael was no stranger to glamour, but being around so many celebrity musicians made him feel small. He was surprised that everyone eventually made him feel comfortable. Having Roger Eaton (guitarist/vocalist/producer) brought the best out of Michael. Roger pushed him to record at his very best, and everyone seemed to be impressed with Michael’s talent.
“Seems that music had always been in the back of my heart, with every job path I’ve taken, it may have been in the back, but it has never left me,” quotes Michael. “Appears that it’s just come together for me.” “And we know that GOD causes everything to work together for the good of those who love GOD and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28
